Overview
Purge slows the movement speed of enemy units to a factor for 5 seconds, as well as dispelling certain buffs off both allied and enemy units. The movement slow wears off over time. Purge also deals damage to summoned units.
Notes on Purge
Purge comes in three forms:
- Medusa's Purge, which slows attack speed as well as movement speed by a factor of 2/3/5 (Medusa's Purge slows a target down to 50% / 33% / 20% of its movement speed. The slow effect lasts for 5 seconds. The target will regain its speed gradually over those 5 seconds, gaining 10% / 13.2% / 16% movement speed back every second), as well as enabling its casting on magic immune units. It deals 600/800/1000 damage to summoned units.
- Diffusal Blade's Purge, of which there are 10 charges per Diffusal Blade. It slows movement speed, as well as deals 99999 damage to summoned units.
- Satyr Trickster Purge comes by dominating or otherwise gaining control of a Satyr Trickster. It slows movement speed by a factor of 5 (See Medusa's level 3 ultimate for exact movement speed percentages), as well as dealing 400 damage to summoned units.
- Only Medusa's Purge may target units that have Magic Immunity because of an innate skill (Mud Golem) or item (Black King Bar), by virtue of being an Ultimate. All three types of Purge can target a unit affected by Repel, however, because of its nature as a buff.
List of Purgeable and Unpurgeable buffs
Here is a list of all the effects Purge has in terms of dispelling buffs. If you can not find the buff you are looking for, think about the name of the buff rather than just the skill itself (e.g. If you were looking for the positive buff on attackers from Frostmourne, you would need to look for "Mark of the Abyss" rather than "Frostmourne".
As a side note, units that are magically immune from the Repel buff are still purge-able by all Purges.
Yes - Purge dispels the buff completely
No - Purge has no effect on the buff at all
