What is DotA Allstars Wiki?

DotA Allstars Wiki, also known as DAWiki, is a wiki intended as a knowledge base for the mechanics and inner workings of DotA Allstars. Basically, it is a group of articles about DotA that everyone can edit and share his or her opinions, while it can still provide information as accurate as possible.

Why use DAWiki?

DAWiki provides comprehensive information about DotA Allstars, ranging from heroes, items and the creeps, to commands, mechanics and strategy. Also, DAWiki is constantly updated and expanded because it is editable by everyone. We also have a team of active and responsible administrators who keep watch of DAWiki.

How can I help?

Helping DAWiki, as simple as it is, counts. All you need is an account, and some basic knowledge of wikitext grammar (see Help:Text Format for a simple reference). The EDIT panel button right below an article's title leads you to a page where you are allowed to change the page's content.

Where should I start?

The sheer amount of text in DAWiki might seem overwhelming at first, but once you get the idea, it's just a small dish. Here are some suggestions for starters:

  • A quick read of DAWiki:Editing Policies will help you grasp the common editing fashion on DAWiki.
  • Check out the hero pages, explore the mechanics and statistics, and fill out all that is missing - mechanics, strategy, lore, or whatever off the top of your head about the hero.
  • Check out the items, neutrals, and summons pages, have a basic idea about them, and jam in all details you know.
  • Check out the strategy part, learn the game terms, and expand the pages to help thousands of players improve their skills.
  • Check out the mechanics part, understand the concepts of Base Abilities and Orb Effects, and add your part of the knowledge to save the time of numbers of other users.
